The people behind the ball
A celebration for our community.
Saint Sava Cultural Club Calgary organizes the Svetosavski Bal, bringing our community together through music, dance and Serbian tradition.

Our story in Calgary
The idea of a Saint Sava Ball in Calgary began nearly eight years before the event became a reality.
In 2019, three Serbian organizations joined forces: the Serbian Orthodox Church organization Sveti Simeon Mirotočivi, Kolo Srpskih Sestara Mala Gospojina, and SKUD Frula.
Their shared vision was a cultural and charitable event that would preserve Serbian traditions, bring people together, and introduce Serbian heritage to the wider Calgary community and beyond. The ball continues that vision today.

Why we gather
Our focus is the ball: an occasion to meet, celebrate our heritage and share an evening across generations. Its purpose extends beyond the dance floor, with a commitment to supporting people in need.
A project that belongs to everyone
The ball belongs to the whole community, beyond any one person or organization. Every gathering is an opportunity to strengthen the connections that bring us together.
